Après avoir
été à Yellowstone, Je me suis donc dirigé vers Calgary pour aller retrouver
Cindy pendant une journée. Le trajet entre Yellowstone et Calgary est d’environ
11h donc une autre grosse journée à l’horizon pour moi. J’ai mangé beaucoup d’asphalte
disons cette journée là mais bon ça en valait la peine. Le Montana ressemble
beaucoup au Wyoming à première vue, sauf une fois rendu dans les montagnes. Ça
coupe d’un coût sec. D’un côté de la montagne on a un gendre désert et de l’autre
côté une forêt plein de conifère. Assez étrange.
Bref mon
GPS m’a permis de prendre la 85 au lieu de l’autoroute pour couper la soute et
le kilométrage. Excellente décision! Je n’ai jamais vu une route de campagne
aussi belle avec un limite de vitesse de 70 mph… donc environ 115 km/h. J’en ai profiter laissez-moi vous dire. J’étais vraiment l’étranger avec ma plaque du
Québec car tout le monde me regardait d’un œil étrange quand j’arrêtais faire
le plein dans des presque ville fantôme western. J’ai vraiment adoré ma journée et quand je
venais pour passer les douanes en Alberta, un orage s’est abattu. Sur ma route vers Calgary, j’ai été étonné.
Je croyais que l’Alberta était pour être un peu plus belle en dehors des
rocheuses. C’est des champs à perte de vue… jaune. Presqu’aucun arbre présent…
bref rien. Une fois arrivé à Calgary
nous sommes aller manger, je peux vous dire que j’avais faim rendu à cette
heure-là. Le lendemain nous avons visité
Calgary et Cindy est reparti pour Edmonton. Je suis donc parti coucher à Banff
dans un camping comme je les aime, avec des ours J. Le lendemain j’ai repris mon auto pour aller
voir un de mes amis à Kelowna où je suis présentement. J’ai arrêté à Revelstoke
au parc national et ça vaut vraiment la peine. Je croyais arrêter à Rogers
Pass, mais que je regardais les sentiers je me suis dit : Max tu pourras
revenir car ça te prendra 4 jours faire tous ce que veux., comme à Banff d’ailleurs.
Je repars dimanche matin pour Vancouver
car je dois aller voir un endroit potentiel où habiter. J’espère que ça va
marcher car l’endroit est vraiment trop mon genre et l’emplacement est parfait
aussi.

HI guys, I just noticed that I haven’t written in English
yet so for you English speakers it must have been hard to follow what was going
on. Well, there it is now. After
Yellowstone I went straight up to Calgary. It.’s an 11h drive. Montana
looks pretty much the same as Wyoming except in the mountains. It’s weird because on one side of the
mountain you could see desert and on the other side a total forest of pines,
stunning.
Anyways, my GPS got me on that country road number 85
Montana. It was incredible, I loved it. Speed limit is 70 mph, about 115 kph. Let’s
say that I enjoy the drive all the way up the road. Let me tell you, when I was
stopping at the gas station in that almost western ghost town, people were
looking at me like if I was an alien from other planet with my Quebec plated
car. Well I then met Cindy in Calgary for a day. We went for dinner pretty late
and yes… I was starving, eating myself from the inside. The next day we visited Calgary a bit and it
was already the time to go for her. I then decided to head to Banff to get a
nice camping spot for the night. Next morning, I woke up and walked around
Banff a bit and then decided to go to Kelowna to meet a friend there. On my way
to Kelowna I stopped at Revelstoke National Park which is incredible if you are
willing to walk a bit. You can get nice shot from the top of the mountain. I also wanted to stop at Roger Pass, but I would
have needed 4 days to see everything I wanted to, so I decided to come back
later this year… may be snowboarding who knows.?
I am leaving Kelowna on Sunday and I have this nice place to
visit on Sunday night. I just hope everything is going to work out well.
Tomorrow I will be going at a lake close to Vernon and probably go on a boat
for the whole day. I am not too sure what is going to happen there.
So this is pretty much it, hope you enjoyed my first English
post and I’ll try to translate the older ones as well whenever I get time to.
